Um, I may have skipped some time, but it's not my fault! Yeah it is.
The Goods
We've got some pretty updates this week, one of which will be more potentially awesome then the rest. First of all, I've been thinking about starting a Battlefield: Bad Company based clan. Message Benislav about this. Next, AP Admin01 has been put to use and will be accepting all friend requests. AP Admin01 will also be sending out messages regarding events and updates.
Even Better: User-Owned Events
Aha. That's right, User-Owned Events. Some people have been awaiting AP Events, and they haven't been coming. Well, until we get organized enough for that, how about YOU have an AP Event? Not just a small one. You can hold sub-Official AP Events. Ever wanted to schedule a custom games match on Halo or a party on another game, then to find no one is on at the time? Simple. Send AP Admin01 a message with this information;
-What game will the event be on? -What time and what time zone? -Any other information.
Then, AP Admin01 will send out an adverisement to the entire AP base, simple as that. Sound good? Thought so.

Welcome again, to the website that makes you wish you had spoons. Or toast. Because Kyle keeps lying that you'll get it, but you never do. Here's the weekly update being posted at 12:48 AM because it's legally Thursday.
An Event? OMGWTFBBQ!
Can you remember the last even Analog Project had? Besides the terrible Cold Storage last-minute update on Monday that only a few people showed up for? I mean, like a real old fashioned event? One Flag, Infection, AP Gametypes? Well, get ready guys, we're thinking about targetting this weekend.
In order to sign up for the event, you MUST message Benislav. That's the only way right now. Don't message HuLkMaN24, don't message CloserDiamond, or punkOfspades, or Mastershakejbt, message Benislav. First message first serve.
OVERFLOW: If the party overflows (We get over 10-14 people,) We'll send you to a different party. Elligible party leaders are Benislav, HuLkMaN24, and Mastershakejbt.
Still Hiring
That's right. Still got jobs for offer. We'd currently be liking:
-Event Staff -Machinima Directors -Comic Artists -Forum Posters [Just post on the forums, no registration required.]
We have a new update schedule, which would now be every Thursday, depending on what time of the day. This is to not have to wait for every Friday, and for other reasons being a good time Mid to End of week to submit weekly news, being the day the Double EXP Weekend comes out on Halo 3, some time to submit info about that, and it's just a lucky day... sort of.
Cold Storage: The New Halo 3 Map
The newest Halo 3 map, cold storage, will not be for the 800 MS fee that we've seen from the previous two map packs before the Heroic Map Pack went free. This map will be free from the get-go on Bungie Day (7/7). That's just a few days from July 4th, Independence Day (Or Fireworks Day). On Bungie Day, the Legendary Maps price will be lowered to 600 MS instead of 800, but will not be rendered free for now. Cold Storage is a remake of the Halo: CE map 'Chill Out'. Bungie Day's other large aspects will be having players turn their emblems to either the Bungie Symbol or the Number 7, and also attempting to get 7 Billion kills.
This Week in Analog Project
We still need staff, and we still need some more people, but as far as updates go, not really anything. I've sent out my Holiday Message and we're ready to go.
HEADS UP: We might be having an event this weekend. Get ready, guys.
Apparently, our servers don't have that much space or something like they just want to get you to buy platinum but if I wanted to do that I'd just buy full hosting somewhere else which I will undoubtedly do later when we get more people.
Let me just say a few things here, I didn't write an entry for nothing this time. That's right, I've got some actual news. First of all, the current list of staff.
Ben (Benislav) - Admin Chase (CloserDiamond) - Admin Kyle (HuLkMaN24) - Admin James (Mastershakejbt) - Staff
Now for the 'what we're hiring' section.
Journalist (1 or 2) Game Reviewer (1 or 2) Forum Moderator (For each Mass forum, appropriately.) Event Staff (1 for each party)
Now for the big stuff, (i.e. the stuff you really care about) First of all, we're ending the Map Competition a little late, send in your maps and we may enter them in. We ARE considering the Race Track Competition after this, but our only inquiry is that we get some more people on the website, and to register on the forums.
Alright, for anyone that's visited AP in the past, you have knowledge of the Analog Project Official Events that were held on Fridays at 6:30PM. We're thinking of starting them up again, but again, we NEED more people to register on the forums and the site. Send me a message if you'd attend.
And then again, for the people issues, send messages to your friends to get on AP. Once we get enough people, our tournaments and competitions may have more of a prize to them than glory and VIP. (Check the forums for information).
Why am I saying this when there's around 20 billion pages of articles...? 'cuz I feel this weekend is gonna be our lucky weekend. Why? No reason, but I think it might be, so I'm taking the opportunity to set the background of my evil schemes. Sounds exciting right? Probably not.
Well anyway, I had a dream one night where I was attacked by zombies; but that's irrelivant. My weirder dream was to set up a gaming based website with a great forum, staff and community. And the only way to get there is through Corporate Bullshit, am I right? So what we're going to have to do is make an attractive community, and here's how;
If you're good at something, we might like to see it. Send us an Epic gaming montage or Halo 3 map, we'll put it on the homepage. Or if you're good at drawing or writing or something, do something amusing and it might get up here too. Alright, now as I stated in the last update that you didn't read unless you're extra cool, we're looking for people to do our evil bidding.
The jobs are on the Applications page. But if you're in it for the long run, you may be promoted to the All Powerful do-nothing staff.
But in order to start up this community, we need some serious backup. Post on the forums, invite your friends, you may someday be rewarded....
(In cheese.)

The first Analog Project Map Contest ends tomorrow, as planned. All maps submitted will be rated by our judges. The winning map gets honorable mention and possibly, if I am correct from Kyle (HuLkMaN24) a piece of toast. Now just a reminder, but if the Analog Project fanbase gets larger (and by larger I mean huge because our current fanbase isn't exactly convention size...) there could be Microsoft Points in future competitions.
I'd also like to take this time to say that AP is hiring, and that applications have been posted on the 'Applications' page. Please let me know if it doesn't work, as it probably won't. I can fix it soon after. -- I am aware it's not working, I'm working on it.
Myself and HuLkMaN24 have, if you don't already know, decided to create a Halo 3 Forge Map Contest. I decided to tell you some defaults here.
1.) Your map must be made by YOU. If you have absolutely ANYONE helping you on the map they must be credited! 2.) You can make any type of map, though some may receive better scoring. 3.) I recommend not to make a race track map, as we're thinking of having its' own competition next. 4.) Take some time to work on this map. Remember that Details and Aesthetics make a regular map look better. And interlocking adds to the detail. Also, remember again that a map's gameplay is one of the most important things. We will be playtesting these maps.
Well, thanks for reading guys, and we hope to see you on the forums and making your maps.
We started up the APGU now, and what can I say besides, I thought we would get a few responses, not a billion, ha! As I'm typing this, I've probably got more messages on Xbox Live, and if I don't, bet Chase does....
Any way, I'm posting the members information on the 'APGU' Page, so most of the info you need will be up there. Also, Chase's message mentioned the Events that we'll be holding, which mine neglected. We WILL be holding events and we have one confirmed for this Friday, because CloserDiamond will be coming over to my house. The event will start probably in the evening or late afternoon such, we'll probably be playing Halo for a while, but the fun lasts all night, so if you want to play another game with us, here's the list of games we might be playing:
-Halo 3 -Call of Duty 4 -Guitar Hero 3 -Rock Band -Rainbow 6 Vegas & Rainbow 6 Vegas 2 -Oblivion -Mass Effect -BF: Bad Company (Demo) -Possibly some other demos.
If you have any maps or gametypes you would like to play, please send them in a message to me [N00B Squish3r] via Xbox Live. If the map/gametype has good gameplay, we'll slip it into the event. Sound good? Send me a message over Live if you have ANY questions, we'll see you on Friday.
-Ben A.K.A. N00B Squish3r Head Admin, Analog Project, Commisar, APGU
That's pretty much it, isn't it? Oh well, we're trying to come back again. I'm getting into a more unbiased point of view now, I've been playing more Halo lately and like it more again. Myself and Chase [CloserDiamond] are trying to get a podcast of some sort going over gaming topics. If you have anything that can help us, send me a message.
Yeah, we're planning on having event #7 on Call of Duty 4.
Our planning will probably go as follows:
-We start at 7:30 EST, 6:30 central with MAP PACK games. That means Killhouse, Chinatown, Broadcast, and possibly creek for anywhere from 10-30 minutes. We may begin the map pack games before the starting time so that not everyone is too disappointed.
-At around 8:00 EST, 7:00 CST, we'll start normal games. That's Any of the default maps. Showdown, Overgrown, Pipeline, etc.
-We will be attempting to do all gametypes or near there. Atleast: -Team Deathmatch -Free for All -Search & Destroy
We'll probably tune a game of Zombies in too if we get decent players.
